The PPS Register will only contain skeleton details of a security interest, including details of the grantor, the secured party, brief generic descriptions of the collateral and other details about the type of security interest1.
Security agreements are not available to those who search2. Only interested parties (other secured parties, auditors and the grantor himself or herself) can request copies of security agreements that relate to security interests shown on the PPS Register from the secured party who claims the security interest. Disclosure of security agreements is subject to confidentiality provisions either in, or which relate to, security agreements3. See Chapter 22 (Registration and the PPS Register) for discussion.
